The Montgomery County Planning Board works on the White Flint Sector Plan in public “worksessions.” The next worksession is scheduled for March 19 at approximately 9:00AM in the auditorium in Silver Spring. The White Flint Steering Committee discusses the Sector Plan with the Planning Board during these worksessions. The Planning Board generally live broadcasts these meetings on its web site. www.montgomeryplanning.org.
The topic for the March 19 Worksession is a continuation of presentations by property owners about their proposals for developments in the “new” White Flint. Several of these presentations were made at the March 5 worksession; the presentations and the Planning Board video record can be accessed from the general White Flint planning site, www.whiteflintplanning.org, and the Planning Board’s more general site (click on “video”) www.montgomeryplanning.org.
In addition, the Planning Board will consider the site for a new MARC Commuter Railroad station; the White Flint Sector Plan currently suggests two possible new commuter rail stations near the Metrorail station, one directly to the east of the Metrorail station, the other further south toward Nicholson Lane.
