Staff Releases Latest Version of final Draft Plan
On Thursday, July 16, 2009, the Montgomery County Planning Board will consider final revisions to the staff’s draft of the White Flint Sector Plan. This is the version of the Plan which the Board worked on at its last meeting on June 18. The staff included the changes the Planning Board made on June 18, and also considered the changes proposed by Friends of White Flint. The staff has recommended that the Board adopt more than half of the FoWF recommendations, and has disagreed on several. For example, the staff agrees on adopting text enlarging the prominence of the central Promenade, showing the change in Figure 12, but disagrees with changing Figure 8, which shows the Core area.
