County Council Schedules Public Hearing on White Flint Sector Plan for Nov. 3
The White Flint Sector Plan development process is moving forward. The Plan was approved by the Montgomery County Planning Board on July 16; the County Executive has sixty days to review and comment on the Plan before the County Council begins hearings. The Council has now scheduled a first public hearing on the Plan for November 3.
The Council will review the public hearing record and the Plan in one of its committees first, and will then likely hold worksessions to review particular aspects of the Plan. Unlike the Planning Board, the Council is not expected to permit significant public involvement inĀ its worksessions; thus the November public hearing may be the only major opportunity for public comment on the White Flint Sector Plan.
