Car Speed Amendment Pulled from Council Agenda

Car Speed Amendment Pulled from Council Agenda

I haven’t seen the change in the agenda for tomorrow’s Montgomery County Council meeting yet, but reports are circulating that the Council is NOT going to consider the amendment to the Growth Policy which would have stopped White Flint redevelopment if cars had not gone fast enough through intersections elsewhere in the County. (For more information on the background of this amendment, see this FLOG post from a few days ago: http://blog.friendsofwhiteflint.org/2010/04/03/the-car-speed-through-intersections-tests-are-baaaaaack/).

No word on when the amendment will be rescheduled.

[Update: confirmed.
