This Sunday morning, April 27th, beware that Rockville Pike will be affected by the Pike’s Peek 10K race. Running from Shady Grove Metro Station to its festival-like conclusion at White Flint Mall’s parking lot, the race is a county tradition. But, it’s one that tends to disrupt traffic along and around Rockville Pike during the morning hours. Here, around White Flint, the runners will be in the median lanes so expect lane closures and some intersections to be impacted. If you have somewhere to be, give yourself extra time.
But, if you don’t have anywhere to be, it’s not too late to register and join in the fun. Online registration is closed, but you can register in person up until the race begins. Visit the race’s website by clicking here.
