Some time ago, WMATA committed to eliminating the metro turn-backs at Grosvenor Station by June, 2018. These turn-backs cause every other train to end at Grosvenor station, severely diminishing service to White Flint, Twinbrook, Rockville, and Shady Grove stations. The turn-backs also negatively impact ridership to White Flint and other stops north of Grosvenor.
The elimination of the turn-backs is not included in the FY 19 budget. Will you advocate for the elimination of the Grosvenor turn-backs? You can either send written testimony, attend the upcoming public hearing for the FY 19 WMATA Budget, or provide feedback via the WMATA website by Monday, February 5 at 5 p.m.
The Public Hearing regarding the proposed FY19 Budget will be held Wednesday, January 31 at 6:00 p.m. (open house begins at 5:30 p.m.) at Metro Headquarters, 600 5th Street NW, Washington DC 20001. Further information is available at: https://www.wmata.com/initiatives/budget/
