FRIT explores how to build a second metro entrance cheaper and faster

In an effort to advance building a second entrance at White Flint metro, Federal Realty Investment Trust retained the engineering firm AECOM and worked with WMATA to develop a simpler, less expensive approach to the project. The next step towards implementation is the development of a more detailed design and cost estimate.  Federal Realty has requested that the County Council Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy & Environment Committee (T&E Committee) take the next step in the process by sponsoring a project development study with WMATA.
