The Planning Board will hear public comments on the latest draft of the White Flint Sector Plan, beginning with a hearing on January 12, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., in the Park and Planning Headquarters, 8787 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD.
You can submit comments in writing or apply to testify at the hearing. Applications and more information can be found at the Planning Board’s White Flint Planning page.

The new White Flint Steering Committee will hold its first meeting at 7PM, on January 6, 2009, in the MNCPPC Auditorium, 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring.
Items to be discussed include: procedures and expectations, schedule, and focus of the Steering Committee.

On Thanksgiving Day, we lost a friend and colleague: Marion Clark.
Marion was the facilitator for some of our neighborhood discussions, and was the staff member responsible for many of the “green” issues: green buildings, tree cover, permeability and so on. She was also a friendly and generous person, and I will miss her.

The Planning Board has released the latest draft of the White Flint Sector Plan for review prior to the beginning of public hearings (first hearing is January 12, 2009, in Silver Spring).
