White Flint’s future as an urban place depends on a street network that welcomes people on foot and bike, not just in cars, and roads that are pleasant to spend time in, not just move through. But Montgomery County’s Department of Transportation may not make getting there easy.

The White Flint Implementation Advisory Committee will have its monthly meeting next Monday, June 10th, at 7pm in Wall Park/Shriver Aquatic Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.  The agenda is packed with work and it’s poised to be an eventful evening.

The White Flint Implementation Advisory Committee, a body established by the Planning Board, met on Monday, May 13th.  Below are notes of the most salient points of discussion:

**  Rose Krasnow, interim director of the Planning Department, made a rare appearance at the meeting.  Also present was Ramona Bell-Pearson from the County Executive’s office and representatives from the county Department of Transportation.
