Friends of White Flint is co-sponsoring two upcoming events:
On Sunday morning, April 26, FoWF will be co-sponsoring a booth at the finish line of the Pike’s Peek 10-K road race. The finish will be in the front parking lot of White Flint Mall, and our booth will be open from 8 – 10:30AM. Come by and visit!
On Friday, May 1, FoWF is co-sponsoring a breakfast at Dave & Buster’s in the White Flint Mall. The breakfast will feature two prominent speakers on urban design and planning: Christopher Zimmerman, member of the Arlington County Board and Chairman of the Board of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and Ian Lockwood, Glatting-Jackson.
A former civic association president and planning commissioner, Mr. Zimmerman has been an advocate of Arlington County’s legacy of transit-oriented development and managed growth, and a proponent of the principles of the New Urbanism. This event is likely to fill up quickly, and you will need to RSVP, so if you are interested in attending, please contact Evan Goldman at Evan.Goldman@friendsofwhiteflint.org.
