Friends of White Flint is pleased to announce its Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 29th from 6:3o-8pm. Open to all members, and those considering joining, we will have a packed agenda.
So far, our agenda includes David Hauck of Communities for Transit offering a brief but eye-catching presentation on the Rapid Transit System making its way through our county’s government. We’ll also hear from Ken Hartman, director of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, about the White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee and how we can work in partnership with that group. Finally, we’ll hold elections for six seats on our Board of Directors.
Just as our membership is comprised of the entire range of stakeholders interested in White Flint redevelopment, our Board is equally divided into three groups: residents/community organizations, businesses, and property owners/developers. This year, we will be electing six Directors – two from each of the classes – to a three-year term.
We seek an active and involved Board of Directors and we’ll answer any questions emailed to info@WhiteFlint.org. If you’re interested in throwing your name into the ring, please complete our nomination form, found by clicking here. Learn more about our existing Board by clicking here.
The meeting will be held at the offices of Federal Realty Investment Trust, 1626 E. Jefferson Street in Rockville. We’re still coordinating our agenda now, so please let us know if there’s something you’d like to hear about! Just comment here or email us at email@example.com! RSVPs are welcome, but not required, at that same email address. See you in a few weeks!
