What: White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee Meeting

When: Tuesday, December 9, 8:00 am- 9:15 am

Where: Bethesda North Conference Center, 5701 Marinelli Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852

The agenda will include:

A presentation by Streetsense of the recommended name for the district.

A discussion of a possible Arts and Entertainment district designation for the area.

White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee

White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee meetings are free and open to the public. The White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee was established by the County Council to advise County departments on public services in the White Flint area as well as coordinate community activities that promote business interests and a sense of community within that area.

Rebecca Hertz is the Assistant Executive Director of Friends of White Flint. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Development and Social Change from Clark University, Worcester Massachusetts in 2012. She completed her Master’s Degree from Clark University, as well, in Community Development and Planning in 2013. She is interested in how built environments impact the health and growth of communities. Prior to this role, she worked as a youth worker and mentor for several non-profit organizations in Maryland and Massachusetts. She grew up in Rockville, MD and has recently moved back to the region.
